My Entry
Taken at Kinclaven Bluebell woods on 26th Nov around 13:30 on a Mavic Air 2.
For anyone who has watched Outlander, you might recognise them as the witness trees. And yes, it is meant to look like that

Doesn’t look the same without bluebells Darren

No it certainly doesn’t, still some wonderful colours on the trees and the ferns have all turned brown. Still worth a walk at this time of year

proof that photography is all about the light, nicely shot

Obviously not an entry.
Most of the trees have dropped their leaves, obviously the conifers haven’t, but the ground is still a nice colour and I really like all the different tones and textures. I like how the witness tree looks like it’s making inroads to the newcomers, trying to defeat them, restore our natural woodland and replace the man planted conifers.

Are there any decent pictures of trees in the new 2024 calendar? Some pictures for inspiration perhaps?

One way to find out …

Available now from the Grey Arrows Drone Club shop

There is some gorgeous colours around at the moment, I thought the trees would be bare by now.

It starts up here a bit earlier Rich, obviously the colder climate in the highlands the trees start dropping their leaves first. Then it works it’s way down south. I didn’t manage a picture this year, but I am absolutely determined for next near, there is a view near Dunkeld at the top of the hill where you can see from north to south for miles, It’s a magnificent view where you can clearly see Autumn creeping down the country. I did actualy visit earlier on with a view to getting the pics, but some dumb twat forgot his inhalers and wasn’t risking the walk up without one (excercise, (and fag,) induced asthma)

makes the scenery turn black and white?

cheeky bastard
The colour version doesn’t capture what I felt or saw in my mind at the time, so black and white it is. I’m sure there is something in the colour version waiting to be brought out? Maybe if I ever win a FAFEC I’ll be able to let you lunatics have a bash?
