Managed a quick flight today while out along Hadrians Wall again. The Mini 2 held its own in pretty windy conditions but didn’t want to push my luck too much.
May not be everyone’s idea of Landscape but I’m just happy to get a bit of a lull in the wind today and get this, several shots merged for HDR and really surprised they aligned as well as they did considering the wind. Taken this afternoon with MM at Standish, Gloucestershire
@RichGBiscuit …lovely image and edit …it looks like a painting
Thanks Alan @Sandbagger, I find the good thing about these RTF challenges is trying something a bit different and I’m pleased with the result. Probably wouldn’t of thought of playing around with monochrome otherwise.
My first effort at this ‘ere competition. Not tech savvy at all.
This is taken near Near Merevale Hall, Atherstone.
If you are in the area and like good craft beer head for the two large aerials on the horizon… Churchend Brewery be the place!

Taken from the same spot as the last photo looking North East.
Merevale Hall can be made out to the right of the photo and near the horizon.

Hi Martin,
Are these both entries for the competition? If so, could you post each picture separately? It’s in the rules
• Competitors may enter as many images as they wish. Each must be in a separate post.
The reason for it is that it makes the job much easier of the poor staff member who has to compile the poll and post it, in real time. as near to the close of the competition as possible And at the moment those that aren’t laid low with Covid or bovine spongiform encephalitis are busily ransacking the sick bay dispensary for drugs, any drugs, to stave off imagined infections so whoever ends up on duty on Saturday night will be flying at rather more than legal height and totally ill-prepared to accommodate any deviations from the norm. Or purple Octopi.
You co-operation is appreciated

Sunlight at last, but very gusty wind.
It’s a Crappy pic … but … I am now daring to go a little higher with the mini 2 each time now :0)… it’s easy… IF I don’t look up lol … Brum city pic taken near witton.
Grizedale Lea and Barnacre reservoirs, looking West. Grizedale reservoir is down in the wooded valley to the right, and the small hill mid-right is called Nicky Nook

Cleethorpes Pier

DJI Mini 2
Opened in 1873 on August Bank Holiday, it originally cost £8,000 and was financed by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway (later the Great Central Railway).
Originally 1,200 feet (370 m) in length to span the unusually large distance between low and high tide limits, the pier comprised a timber deck and pavilion (constructed in 1888) supported on iron piles. A section was cut out of the pier during the second world war to impede its use in any German invasion attempt.
Cleethorpes Pier was purchased by Papa’s for an undisclosed fee in December 2016.The Papas Cleethorpes restaurant and takeaway is currently the world’s biggest fish and chip shop with over 500 seats
There are a lot of entries here , glad people are managing to get out and fly despite this miserable weather
