RTF Competition March 3rd to 16th 2024 - Landscapes without Buildings - Winners Announced

We hope you have enjoyed the pictures as pictures and not spent time pixel peeping to see if that different coloured spot wa-a-a-a-y in the background is a building or not. Save that sort of thing for the poor judges in the Birthday Challenge and treasure hunt who often get presented with just that situation - are those few pixels really the bonus item the competitor is claiming … ?

Back to the plot - we have a somewhat distorted winners’ circle this time as the top photos were only separated by a few percentage points. So we are declaring the third-place winner to be Jason @Acedrone who has shown us how the low sun brings out the archaeological details in the landscape north of Cottesbrooke, Northamptonshire.

We have two second-place winners, a colourful shot of the sunrise at Parbold Hill near Wigan by an early-rising Ady - @Leylo1971

and another sunrise after a steep climb, this time a shot over the ground fog from Glastonbury Tor, taken by John @StunningDrone

Our winner, just beating the previous three into first place is Mark - @markas who decided to forego the early morning alarm cal and take his shot of Loch Tarff at the (more sensible?) time of 11 o’clock to take advantage of a temporary lull in the wind to capture a perfect reflection

Well done everyone, thank you to all who voted, to all who went out to find isolated places with no buildings to be seen and congratulations to our four finalists! See you for the next one, open now
