You’ll have to ask Steve. It sounded funny. I’m sure he’ll look at his blackbox log…

I think it’s an oak tree but I’m not an arborialist 9posh word).

Taken with Mini 2 31/12, changed to B&W using Luminar 4, contrast adjusted.

I don’t generally photograph people but I couldn’t resist taking this photo and though not by drone obviously I doubt I’ll come up with a better fit for this category.

Yet again you are being asked to vote for the subject of the next competition

And the candidates are:

0 voters

Now - those of you with long memories may recall that at least one of the subjects has been offered before. The reason is that the McMac Subject Randomiser has run out of memory for its ever increasing database and ferrite core modules are no longer stocked by PC World.

So - over to you!

If you have an idea for a subject for this competition then you can message either Captain McSteamy or myself in strictest confidence and your suggestion will be reviewed. If used then due credit will be given!

Talking of voting when does the voting for sunrise sunset close.

Should have been last night. I think Captain @McSteamy2010 who is running the poll, may have been taken suddenly drunk. Again :frowning:

He has the only key to the voting booth so we will have to wait till he sobers up …

Just been out to take some images of the local church which has been illuminated this xmas, the first time since we have lived here. It was a 4 shot manual pano, merged in Lightroom and then sent to Photoshop for desaturating, adjusting levels and resizing. Will post the colour images separately.

Hi,

Thought I would add this. I think black and white is a great often forgotten method of photography. I do enjoy shooting with the intension of turning the image to black and white

Cairn at Talkin Tarn, Cumbria.

Taken with my new iPhone on 31.12.20. There was quite a stunning sunset behind but I thought I,d try this in black and white for the comp. Didn,t fancy putting the drone up and probably just as well. It started snowing quite heavily just after I,d taken this.
