The people have been calling for it so let’s get a meet-up sorted for the Scotland region.
This is high level at the mo to gauge response levels. Once things are locked into a general area then we can decide where to go.
As most of the group are towards the Central Belt, it would be sensible to stick around there. Sorry highlanders and border residents. However it is open to all members who would like to attend.
Please pick a general location from this list and feel free to suggest locations in the comments.
West (Glasgow / Trossachs)
Central (Stirling / Alloa / Falkirk)
East (Edinburgh / Fife)

As for date, I’ve put the July weekends in the poll to give a little bit of notice. Pick as many or as few as you would like.
Ive put down for the 1st weekend in July (5th and 6th) as unfortunatley the other 2 im busy and then back offshore for 3 weeks from the 23rd July put Fife as prefered choice but easy to travel to the other 2.
Saturday 26th July is the date and the central part of the Central Belt is the area. As we have a bit of time we can work out the actual meeting point.
Suggestions could be -
Stirling for the Wallace Monument or Stirling Castle
Airth for the Pineapple
Clackmannan for the tower
Falkirk for the Wheel or Kelpies
Or a cheeky run into West Fife to Culross
Sadly, going to miss it, having been to the last two meet-ups - I’ll be in San Francisco, finding out if I’m brave enough to try the Golden Gate bridge…
(There is a big “No Drones” sign at the Wallace Monument, btw.)
Best wishes to all.
Can i suggest not the castle or monument as their will be lots of tourists there. We wont get flying there. And they charge to park at the castle during the day.
There is also Grangemouth refinery, although I doubt they’ll have the cloud makers going at the weekend. Also not too far away are Doune Castle and the Sterling Monument. Then you have the bridges at Kincardine and further down the forth there are another 3 slightly more famous ones! The golf ball at Kinross, then all the pretty harbours on Fife coastal route. Quite a lot to choose from and all within easy reach
