Scotland Meet-Up - Central Central Belt Area - Saturday 26th July

Yeah you can’t fly at the castle itself but I was thinking down in the park below it. Same with the Wallace monument, you can fly from outside.

@DazC , Doune might be a push as you would need to setup in their car park. Not sure they would be too happy about a bunch of drone nerds congregating there.

There is walk on the other side of the river, i see the dogwalkers using it all the time, just need to get onto google maps to find access. Plus you get great views from the bridge along the road and down through the river, there is plenty parking there too

Won’t be able to make it this time, as we are off on holiday to Portugal. Will look out for the next one, though.

A little bump to remind people of this and try and pin down a location. I’m working away during the week at the mo so don’t have a chance to recce locations - if anybody has any good ideas shout them out.

As it stands I may create the location at the historic village of Culross as that gives parking and access to a nice cafe.

Less than two weeks out and the weather looks OK for the afternoon. We may even get a bit of Scottish sun :sun_with_face:

Don’t leave creating this meetup on the new meetup system too long.

Gives everyone a chance to add themselves to it and ensure they all get @ of any changes you have to make .. however late.

And far easier to keep a track of potential attendees, too. :+1:

4 hrs for us each way, but doable, as long as the weather holds good…

Happy to go with any location that is decided upon, ideally something cool to film with AIR3 / MINI3 Pro and AVATA’s would be good - historic buildings, waterfalls, bridges, etc…

As Meatloaf sang - two outa three ain’t bad. The Forth Valley is one of the flattest parts of Scotland so not many waterfalls around there.

Lol, tbh I should probably lay off waterfalls for a while, I seem to film a lot of them, 7 on my last trip to Strathpeffer out of 16 videos in total…

 The meet up has been created in DroneScene.

Thanks. All done …

I’ll lock this thread so that further discussion isn’t happening in two places and adding confusion.
