Well better play TRYP then. Think I’ll give the micro DLC on velocidrone a go next, as need more whoop practise.
Defo up for learning a trick or two though, Matty flip session, where’s those how to do fpv tricks thing, oh here we go…
Yeh, what I was ascribing to “wonky physics” before, I think I can now mentally understand with regards to thrust vectors at different speeds/angles. There’s definitely different styles of flying
- yaw-heavy on slow/learner flyers
- roll-heavy on middle speeds where I typically sit
- twitchy speedy-bois… I don’t need to learn that style in my opinion, but cool to see still.
My focus is on smoothing out that middle speed and getting precise with it, plus throw in some stunts. That’d make me a happy-camper! 
Cool that we can do all those things together though; as has been discussed in chat while we play, sometimes it’s just nice to hang out with people while learning.
I’ve not played Tryp since they introduced a bunch of game-breaking bugs for me in the PID-loop update. Was definitely my favourite for “feel” before that though. Happy to jump into whatever game/sim everyone else is in though.

This type of flying is neat/impressive, just not a type of flying I’m interested in participating in / fun for me to watch I think. Probably cool to watch LED’d whoops buzzing around a village hall from the side lines for a little bit, but in the same way it’s interesting to watch a fireworks display or lose concentration at a pub staring at a fruit machine - pretty lights. 
Think I just don’t have much invested into making a mental/spatial map of the course and following the mechanics.
I appreciate people are pretty saturated on other types of drone vid too - t’is why I stopped posting them. I just enjoy the flying, sim or real!
I’ve been doing it 3 years, and love the flying too (prefer wings/planes at the moment, bored of the smooth flying). Now time to up my game and try something new. I’m crap at the racing, but I think indoor flying where we going… So… I can’t work out the tracks when people fly them, have no idea, but practice, and it slowly comes (I’ve just tried that map on velocidrone, and after 10 mins still have no idea, too tight).
I have no idea how I flew that Bardwell track like that last night, it’s new to me (racing), so… And boy it felt awesome!
Only “trick” I can do is a malformed Split S 
Heck I am trying to win as I can be quite competitive. But I have no bloody chance.
It will improve my real life flying which is good and hanging out it always fun.
Yep quite buggy for myself as well as uodate. That and uncrashed update… I wish developers would stop with poor releases and breaking. … mutter software … Can’t call it engineering… mutter mutter…
Hopefully people will not be intimidated into joining. I am about four times i.e 0:30 seconds Vs two mins behind the fastest @GunjaFPV and about three time slower than the mode.
We do need a SIM king badge for some jepoody on each race.

Likewise if you want any automation/upgrades/admin done (I run a couple and have setup bots for dealing with roles and intended-to-be-useful/interesting-bot-spam on several should anyone want such a thing)
i.e. possibly linking discord account to Greyarrows acc and/or Liftoff account or something (no idea if either are doable without looking and potentially fluttering some eyelashes at GADC people)
