What is it?
2" cinewhoop. 3d printed polycarbonate frame. Darwin fpv aio fc.
Motors soldered and working.
This is a pusher frame and to make like easier with motor remapping I’m going to try Betaflight 4.3!
It flies! No video yet though.
Motor mapping and reversing in BF 4.3 was pretty easy. I was confused for a moment as it wouldn’t take off. Of course I’d gone for props-out and had forgotten that I still needed to tell BF that motor direction was reversed.
Right, now to get the VTX installed somehow… hmmm.
It all works.
I’ve got to set the OSD up properly and get more suitable batteries and then there’s fitting the Caddx Peanut after xmas.
It weighs 109g without battery. 138g with the rather underpowered battery I’ve been using tonight.
Time to fit crsf , vista and try foxxer apollo hd camera
in my latest toy.
What could possibly go wrong

Yup it worked great… flew really well in my dad’s garden. Then Brendan flew it… started doing acrobatics, which looked really good. Then he crashed… and rolled the quad under the net we’d carefully placed over the pond… plop!
I retrieved the quad and dried it out. All seemed well so I thought we should try it again. It worked for the first flight and then one motor started playing up. We stopped.
I’ve had it apart and one of the ESC mosfets has blown. So new FC and a complete rebuild needed. Bah!
Sorry to hear that Richard hope you get it back up flying again soon
I’ve had the fun of FC choosing tonight. I’ve plumped for one of these:
It’s also getting some better motors than the racerstar ones it had before… T-motor ones.
Plus some redesign of stuff I didn’t really like about the previous build
3D printed plane is coming along nicely.
Things are starting to work. Flight controller, receiver, servos, ESC, GPS, motor, control surfaces and landing gear all work.
Camera and VTX do work, but are not quite ready for fitting yet. It looks like I’ll need new batteries as the ones I have are either too big or too small.
You might need a longer corridor
But in all seriousness, what a fantastic project
I would have tested it outside… but by the time I got the 3D printed wheels on it was dark.
Haha love that plane Looked great on the live feed yesterday when @DeanoG60 was chasing you
Thank you. It really is nice to fly. I’ll take it to the seaside next year
Make sure you post some nice coastal vids
As a change from drones…brake caliper with knackered piston which is reluctant to come out of the cylinder
@notveryprettyboy has kidnapped Wilson!!
