great day and thanks for organising Brendan. A really friendly bunch of very helpful people and thanks everyone for giving me my first insight into FPV flying. Great cake and cards. Super morning
David
Fantastic meet up! Both Rebecca and I felt very welcome, especially with the cake. It was great to see how many different drones, controllers and flying styles there were. Certainly no crashing, but pent of unplanned descents. We’ll definitely come along again.
I’ll also start scouting for decent locations around Cambridge.
Cheers
David
Let us know the attendance list @bmsleight and we’ll get some badges issued
I think @BadManners who was hosting took all 15 (fifteen) names.
Great turn-out. Great weather but most of all great company of people.
I am guessing we will have some rather excellent photos and videos being posted once people get round to edits.
I will do a detailed shout-out later, but everyone was super generous with equipment, food and tea.
Fanbloodytastic meet today Ladies and Gents! Really enjoyed meeting you all and having a good old chin wag with cake and biscuits FPV stunts and crashes, lost (and found) quads, camera drones taking photos, it is what GADC drone meets are all about. Looking forward to meeting up with you all again
Thats clearer than any UFO photo Brendan, nice catch

@Riccar Rick
Carol (with Riccar)
@DrDave
Rebecca (with DrDave)
@grandad1950 David
@IanH Ian

We chatted, got to know each other, shared about drones, had cake, signed a lot of cards each (souvenirs to take home).
Oh yeah… we flew drones, spotted each other, helped each other find and fetch—and repair—downed drones.
We ate birthday cake (except bmsleight who somehow missed out, sorry Brendan.)
And we made group photos, and towards the end of our time together, made a circle of people while doctormako circled us with his FPV, it would be interesting to see the onboard GoPro footage.
I’d like to say a sincere thank you to Brendan who started this thread, and allowed me to weave a birthday celebration in to it.
Happy 6th Birthday GADC!
I’m going to DM @pingspike Rich, we each signed a birthday card and I’d like to post it to you.
Thank you too to my lovely wife Nadia who decorated the cake. It was delicious. Not a crumb left!
I’m sure I’ve missed something, and others will want to contribute comments too.
I’ll be posting in the treasure hunt thread soon, then back to here to see what other videos/photos Incan find to post.
That is very kind of you, Andrew, thank you
And @SirGunner is it ok if we use some of your photos there on our social media channels please?
Absolutely Rich Im sure others will be posting up some photos soon too
First flight of the day and man was it a seriously good rip if I say so myself. Apologies if seeing this made any of you FPV lads feel a bit inadequate
Thanks for the list of attendees @BadManners
Socialite badges now issues to everyone that attended and Facilitator (Silver) badges awarded to both @bmsleight and @BadManners for organising an excellent meet-up
You weren’t the first to have a very short fight. A Mini 3 Pro (no names no pack drill) did a tidy somersault 4 feet off the landing pad and landed upside down back on the same landing pad. Impressive! No harm done.
