Im Jim, just bought my first drone. Real basic beginners drone, the Lito X1.
In all honesty, I bought it for fishing. A lot of my fishing is mobile from the shores and estuaries, so got one to look for a particular species and also, access.
The more I read and learn, the more it all excites me and I know im going to do more than the purpose I chose it for!

Yo!
from another Southampton’ite.
You know I was out with a friend this afternoon who saw it and asked what is was, flys a lot himself, he said a similar thing about the X1
Thanks ![]()
Thank you
Hi mate,
What side of the itchen are you? ![]()
Greeting from the other side of Southampton on the Waterside!
Honestly, the Lito X1 is a really easy recommendation. It’s extremely close to the DJI Mini 4 Pro in real‑world use — same 1/1.3" camera sensor, very similar image quality, great stability and smart features. In normal flying conditions you’d struggle to see any difference in footage.
What makes it a no‑brainer is the price. You’re getting Mini 4 Pro‑level performance for a much lower cost, and at this price point there’s simply nothing newer or better available. The X1 even outperforms the Mini 4 Pro in a few areas, so you’re not just saving money — you’re getting more tech for less.
If someone is hesitating: same camera, similar performance, more modern in some aspects, and way cheaper. For the money, you won’t find anything better. ![]()
Hi mate,
Looking through the meet ups that happen in our area.
Going to see about making an appearance ![]()
Ive read similar articles to this all over the interwebs.
I was so impressed with how it coped in the winds at height today, 80 or so feet. 25mph winds 35 gusts.
Held really steady.
Im yet to dive into the filming aspect, I feel like a total noob just feeling out the controls.
Thanks for the reply - good read ![]()
