St Michaels Church, Shotwick, Cheshire

St Michaels has been a place of worship for over a thousand years, the original church was in existence at the time of the Doomsday Book, and serves a community of only a 120. It’s a mix of Norman and Gothic architecture. During the English Civil War Royalists hid there and marked the sandstone with sharpening their arrows. took this for a friend who lived there until emigrating to Australia in the early 1980’s.
