St Nicholas, Boarhunt, Hampshire - Added to Places of Worship in South East

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

The Saxn church is all that remains of the settlement of Boarhunt ( a corruption of burh funta, the funta, (stream) by the fort (burh).

The later farn and the church cottages complete the hamlet, to the north lies the village of North Boarhunt, which has, over time, taken the name and the popukation.

Park in the church car park and walk through the two graveyard fields. A bank on the south side of the field you enter marks the footpath that leads west. Launch anywhere convenient along the path.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 21/09/2020. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Cheers @macspite for adding this to the DroneScene map

I want to fly here @macspite, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Would you be able to add some to the map please?

I will put a marker on the church car park and a TOAL point anywhere convenient as stated above.

Now done

Just an added bit of info - I took a look yesterday and when you walk through between the gravestones and head to the corner a locked gate is there with ‘Private, Property of the Southwick Estate’. Not sure they’re allowed to block a public path but anyway, if you walk the other way past the back of the church towards the wooden entrance, you can get on to the gravel road and walk past a couple of houses to get the path that way.
Hope this helps and many thanks.

The problem is that I flew there four years ago. I don’t pop back every week to check updates. we didn’t have the means of putting TOAL and parking markers on the maps until a few months ago either. I might revisit a couple of sites now I have finally been passed fit for driving again …
