Strobe Lights on sub 250g Drones 🤷

I’m seeing a lot of groups where people are using strobes they buy from Amazon, and attaching them to their Mini 3 Pro or Mini 2 drones.

These drones are a feathers weight off 250g, by attaching a 10g strobe (one person attached two!) this is surely making the drone illegal for flight?

My understanding was, if you fly a sub 250g drone category drone, the drone had to remain under ths weight for flight? How are people adding strobes and claiming their drone is still legal?
