I used the spot you are contemplating on Gapemouth Road to perfect flying the maneuvers required to demonstrate competence for the A2 CofC, it made a change for myself to concentrate on learning to control the drone more effectively without distractions rather than capturing interesting photos/video. Just a thought.

The weather was appalling started out dry but drizzle crept in, hence the moisture on the lens.

I dont think this is going ahead now anyway, not many confirmed. Maybe best to reschedule if there is more interest when its warmer.

@Pirbright_Drone thatās disappointing.
How many people did you need to attend to make this viable for you?
Warmer temperatures are always better. I went out yesterday in bright sunshine and only traveled three miles, but by the time I actually started flying it was overcast!
I know the British weather is very finicky but the summer months ( or weeks/days! ) might be a better option for manyā¦me included!
But yes, disappointing that itās been postponed for now.
Also, disappointed, I was looking forward to the first meet of the year and somewhere new to fly in our area. Forecast looks ok so not sure why it was cancelled. So I will arrange to head over to the coast instead. Perhaps next time

Iām afraid Iām not going to be able to make it - family birthday on Sunday, thought I could sneak out Saturday but now got plans all weekend.

I have been out of action for a few days and only just seen that this is back on, I thought it had been cancelled a few days ago. I have now made plans to take a couple of my grandchildren to an escape room in brighton so sorry but will not make it.
