Thanks for the add - from Carlisle

Just picked up my first drone, compliments of my daughter. Now I have to learn to fly it!
Live in Carlisle so photography should be good around the lake district.
I have taken my fly test and passed so here goes.

Hi Bill and welcome to GADC :+1: :+1:

Hi Bill, welcome from the Black Country.

If you go flying in the Lakes, watch out for the Low Flying Zones, and the TTA (Tactical Training Area) that covers most of the Lake District particullarly for the Helicopters that can fly down to surface. While I was there in September, I got buzzed by Apaches, Black Hawks, Typhoons and Ospreys that were that close and low, the pilot actually waved to us! :grinning: :grinning:

Hi Bill - welcome to GADC :+1: :+1: :+1:

Welcome from the Eden Valley

Best place to be, best group of owners

Welcome matey. Enjoy the beauty of the Lakes. I’m jealous! :+1:

Thanks guys, I feel at home already

Hi Bill. Down near to the waters edge at Crummock water is a decent little place to practice learning to fly. Theres enough variety of scenery to get the juices boiling and of course, just down the narrow road is Buttermere :+1:

Google RAF low flying and there’s a number you can ring and they’ll tell you if they’ve any sorties planned. Can’t say exact time/place though but it’s useful info. Also Google National Trust online land map. It shows their land ownership and boundaries so you can stay out of their way!
