The BIG MEET 2025 - Friday 6th June to Sunday 8th June

Just to let people know that for the big meet we have bought

And we hope to have the power to run this all day so anyone who needs hot water can pop over to us for some hot water. We aim to keep it topped up throughout the meet and kept hot for all to use.

Please note to be careful as it will be boiling water hot enough to make drinks so please use with care.

With the new quiet generator we should have it running all day. We have tested it here and so far it looks ok. Will just see how it goes whe the caravanis connected to it too. Looking good so far.

I will also be bringing plenty spare gas cans (the cassette jobbies for those Coleman style stoves) and plenty of teabags, coffee, box milk, sugar, bogroll etc if other happy campers have forgotten theirs or get caught short, I’m sure we can come to an arrangement

We are hoping to be able to have somewhere for people to charge if they dont have access. All depends what power we have once all sorted. Will know on the day. If limited power just take it in turns.

Got some disposable coffee/tea cups. When you have a drink we can mark your cup so its yours, keep it as long as it lasts so we do not run out.

Today we sorted out the cables to make an undercover area for charging, what we are short of is a table to save you having things on the floor. If anyone is (or can) bring a table that can be used for people to charge on that would be great to keep things off the floor.

I’ll be bringing a portable generator, 25m extension and multi socket adapter too, that can be added to the set up too.

Nice one. Should be plenty of power.

We will be bringing a gazebo to put the power sockets underneath just in case of any bad weather.

We are leaving the red generator at home as it is a pain to start (those remember two meets ago. It works in the end but takes a lot to start it lol…

Corby power station has just announced that due to excess power in the town, they will have the weekend off to watch some cricket!

Instead they will run a cable from a unnamed field!
