Ha ha bring any colour you like.

The one I have works but a pain to get it going, hence the other one we got now as it buggered my arm up and others tried starting it and realised the pain it can be. Once going it is fine

Newbie question here: What’s the general format of the event? I know you have to ‘check in’ when you arrive, but is it generally a free for all to chat with whomever you want, or are there any set events/demos, etc.? Just trying to get a feel for what the day will be like. Is there anything that people should bring?

I aim to attend on the Saturday, hopefully around 10am but earlier if I can muster the energy! (Am driving up from London).

Also, do you often have people selling new/used products? (If yes, I have a mobile phone gimbal that I’ll bring up  )

Thanks, and looking forward to it!

As said before, I’m ex RAF. I like my alcohol delivered by the room service waiter

Might be better to post in beforehand in the forum stating that you are able to bring it to the BM if anybody is interested, might catch larger target audience :+1:t2:

Due to interference between different protocols such as analouge and dji and walksnail fpv systems we try to set up designated timeslots for the various sytems to fly so one system doesn’t take out another, this way we can limit the risks of a crash. Otherwise you are free to wander round talk to whoever you want, ask the most difficult or simple question as non are stupid, but knowing some of us there might be the odd stupid answer.
If you are just coming for the day. Bring your drone/s something to eat and drink, and maybe a chair. Other than that nothing else to suggest.

I’ve not been to any myself, but the post event threads, from previous years that you’ll find from this search : What Happens At the Big Meet : have given me a pretty damn good idea as to what it’s like.

I think I saw that Middle-of-Lidl Aldi has some camping oriented gear this week or next.

Absolutely will do! I’ve been on the forum now for about 6 months (and it’s far, far friendlier and knowledgeable than the Facebook groups full of keyboard warriors that just tell people to read the manual), so it’ll be nice to put a few faces to the usernames!

Most of us will be wearing username badges (inc. real name) on lanyards for the entirety of the weekend.

If you want a username badge & lanyard, pop over to the club shop and place your order, there’s a discount code further up the thread, to discount off the postage, because @milkmanchris will bring them to the BIG Meet.

Looking at the forecast above :index_pointing_up:t2: :index_pointing_up:t2:, you might want to bring some sun cream, cool drinks to stay hydrated and maybe an hat. The field is open with very few areas of shade.
