I was going to guess Switzerland. Never been but it looks like a droners dream destination with those gorgeous green valleys and rolling mountains

Another rummage from 2017.

After 4 days of almost non-stop rain … I needed blue skies and sunshine.

Castello di Caccamo, Sicilia.

Wow thats fantastic! And barely a cloud in the sky. Looks like you’ve done alot of travelling over the years. Is it easy taking your drone to these destinations?

In 2017 I had a three month excursion (:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) … mainly Italy … and drove a total of 8k miles. So the drone wasn’t an issue.
On a tight budget, camping (lots of wild camping), only 3 nights in cheap hotels, mostly my own food - total cost £2,750 inc ferries and £1.2k of diesel.

At just under £1000 per month all in that sounds like fantastic trip! I would love to do something like that but work coupled with the fact the Mrs hates camping means its unlikely to happen anytime soon :sob: How do you manage to keep phones and drones etc charged when travelling like this?

Recharged in the car, mainly. Bespoke wiring in the Shogun and a large second battery that also charged as I drove meant I could use an inverter to charge the MP batteries when the engine wasn’t running.
Campsites have power - though I tried to avoid paying for it at the tent.
A beer in exchange to an adjacent camper with power to their tent/motorhome often worked.
Left things charging in washrooms, etc. at times where I had a good view of the comings and goings. I’ve found that campers (in the more basic/cheaper sites) tend to be very honest. In all my camping experiences over many years, only had anything (beers, mainly) stolen at expensive sites.

Sounds like you had all bases covered. Bet you got loads of great Photos and videos while travelling around for 3 months. Must have felt very liberating :grinning:
