I’ve only enhanced them mate, as true as I’m sat here typing, they were there. They are what made me take the shot… I was quite happy doing a few speed runs.
They’re awesome mate, I love a sun beam shot How are the speed runs going?
Clocked 64mph this morning before the rain hit… Watching the wind speed constantly
You guys are getting obsessed with these speed records It’s great entertainment. The speeds you guys are getting are seriously impressive
You should think about a name change, McSteamyKnievel
As but my Mini 2, with 3 and a half legs, held together with superglue … is still faster than @McSteamy2010 Knievel’s Air 2S
But to be fair, it’s faster than my Mavic 2 Pro too
How does that even make sense
Makes sense in that you guys are taking them out in gale force winds and my thoughts are that the bigger drones can fight back harder against the wind pushing them along maybe
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head their Steve. As the Mini 2 is lighter, it gets carried more
I have not been out for weeks. The weather in the northwest has been god awful. So I am going to start sharing some of last years offerings seen as I have nothing new to show.
This is the Imperial War Museum North.
Great stuff !
I was down in the Scottish Borders this morning doing a recce for the wedding we are filming tomorrow.
Barony Castle - 1/100sec @ f6.3, 100iso - Mavic 2 Pro
In the grounds of Barony Castle is The Great Polish Map of Scotland - Great Polish Map of Scotland - Wikipedia
1/160sec @ f2.8, 100iso - Mini 2
Of all the places in Scotland I’ve wanted to photograph since I got my first drone, this was near the top of the list. I remember staying here for a weekend years ago, and standing near the map thinking, this really needs to be seen from above. Finally It was minus 4 when I shot these and both the Mavic 2 Pro & Mini 2 worked perfectly.
@Drumsagard ….great images John …I have wanted to visit this location even before I got my drone ….I should really do my homework before posting but I’m sure there was a connection with polish soldiers involved with the construction of either the map or the building , I seem to recall a polish soldier married a Scottish lass and never returned home I hope I’m not getting mixed up and talking out my backside I mean it would only take a couple of minutes for me to Google it to be sure
Wiipedia link above will tell you all about it Alan
Doh I didn’t spot the link
A Metal Lighthouse !
RTF Heavy Metal Challenge had me thinking of 2 possible subjects, I have a 3 night break booked in a cottage next week so I thought I might have a chance to fly at option 2 but when I saw the forecast I decided I had best take the very narrow window of opportunity and fly at local option No1 this morning. Calm when I arrived but the forecast rain arrived as soon as I completed my 15 minute flight.
