But there was a break in the rain between 2 and 3.30 pm. So I headed up to Cotswolds Water Park (which has 150 lakes) to see if I could find some still water shots for the RTF challenge.
Some goodens there @clinkadink
We back on churches again too
@clinkadink Down that way end of next week on a busy weekend away to celebrate my step daughters 30th Bday at Somerford Keynes and visit ‘our- kid’ in Cricklade… if I get time! Probably take the same pictures Chris,… If it stops raining that is!
Particularly like 3 and 5. Lovely lighting!
Thanks Geoff
I used to live near there and used to race dinghy’s in those lakes before they got over developed
Went out this morning looking for still water for the challenge, got this shot which wouldn’t have been a bad one if the bird hadn’t decided to go for a swim in the middle of it
Managed to dodge the rain enough to capture these sunset images at the Bet365 stadium in Stoke. This was also the first time I’d had to use the Geo zone self unlock feature (blue zone) and was impressed with how easy it is.
Great colours. Shit ground.
Carmel college / boarding school & amphitheatre, derelict @ Oxfordshire, just a few from yesterday ( did not go as planned ) neither did the edit but I thought I’d share anyway, had problems with very strong winds & very close to a FRZ, nerves made me abort mission & struggled to get the drone back through the trees & branches
Twonk trying to get the drone back
Managed to dodge the high winds and showers to capture this multi storey going up on a nearby research park.
Well done, you still managed to get some nice shots.
Thanks….
Another photo I took yeaterday at Crown Warf, Stone, Staffordshire. Did a lot of local masking in this one in Lr whilst trying to get to grips with all the options for editing. Its a minefield
PS. Named the file with 2022 date by mistake, obviously 2023.
Another photo I took at Foremark Reservoir with my mini 3 Pro with a little light left at 1520 hrs… ish. If I was braver in the strong wind I would have flown closer for a better shot but we’re not all a @clinkadink !
There are five River Avons in England , three River Avons in Scotland and one River Avon in Wales, although the Welsh river is spelled Afon Afan, which is another tautology which also means River River.
I knew there were a few - but didn’t know so many.
Which one is yours?
Mine is the Hampshire variety. This was south of Salisbury.
Just passed the floods nearTekesbury on way back from Cirencester. Huge swage of water seemingly split by the M5.
