I did drive up the field at first but :man_running:t2::dash::dash::dash:

Did you get lost? Those wheel tracks made quite a pattern …

On the way back from flying the Avata at Furze Knoll this evening, I spotted a hot air balloon about 15 miles away. About 20 minutes later, zig zagging across Wiltshire, I got within what I thought was half a mile of it, whereas it was actually a tad further :joy:

Taken with the Mini 3 Pro.

Looks like there are about a dozen on board …

Those things move amazingly quick. From being right next to one previously. parking up, launching the drone. It was fecking miles away! :man_facepalming:

Great shot.

Thanks mate.

Yeah, they are a lot quicker than I thought. I had to put it sports mode to keep up.

You jinxed me :flushed:

Whilst doing a bit of active track on the track leading down from Milk Hill, the birds took a serious liking to my Mini 3 Pro …

Ooooooo dear :face_with_peeking_eye:

I visited Littlecote near Hungerford today, within it’s grounds lay Littlecote House and Littlecote Roman Villa. The photo below shows there’s about 500m between the two.

Littlecote House

Littlecote Roman Villa

The villa is one of the largest on display in Britain and boasts a massive mosiac floor which is in superb condition - considering it is 1,963 years old. Understandably, it is surrounded by metal railings, so I used the Mini 3 Pro to get inside …

Yesterday was the Summer Solstice, so where better to visit to grab the longest day’s sunset than Stonehenge

All of the lay-bys within a 2 mile radius of Stonehenge were blocked off. So I used my usual spot in Larkhill and walked south down the Avenue just over a mile. There were still quite a few visitors there, plus about half a dozen security guards.

My TOAL was just to the east of Stonehenge, up on a hill in a field, outside the DS NT boundary, with clear view of the site.

DSLR photos are here.

Just above my TOAL site, showing Stonehenge to the left, the Cursus Barrows in the distance below the sun, and the Avenue leading from the north (Larkhill) to Stonehenge.

Note: Starting Monday 26 June, there’s a temporary flight restriction in this area for 2 months, until 25 August. For more info, check Drone Scene.
