Almost two weeks of chilling, learning to SCUBA dive (now SSI Open Water Certified), and just spending time with my family I realised I hadn’t actually taken my drone out of its bag.
Solved that last night on a family 'sunset cruise to the Blue Lagoon in Comino. The foreground island is Comino and the one in front of the setting sun is Gozo.
p.s. The Maltese drone flight registration website is sh%^&* on mobiles and not much better on desktop. Was all the grief worth it just to get one flight in? Well yes, and maybe another time I’ll come out here just for me and have more time flying.

Awesome! Something I really, really wish I’d done when i was young and healthy enough.
As I turn 60 this year and have mostly been in decent health I thought it was a now or never thing…

Holidaying in Malta next June. Looked on their CAD site and started to register but they wanted ,€25 Euro. I already have EU ID & Flyer ID, so stopped at that point. Did you have to pay for their approval to fly in Malta?

Did you have to pay for their approval to fly in Malta?
It’s not clear but they do a 2mth deal for 10 euros. Basically once you have your IDs in place then the payment becomes one of two options.
As I said though, the site is sh££@ and I found it best to submit my flight request ls just prior to doing them. Which usually means outside of office hours as their response is “we will look at this during hours” 
I did my bit and submitted my flight so I just go ahead and fly whilst observing local regs.

@stubbyd I’ve got the EU Id etc but assume they would be the same for Malta. Thx Stuart for the info.

West Down wind turbines. Just returned from Holiday in North Devon. These wind turbines are situated just outside the Village.
