I took these images just before the fog came rolling in while filming on Bournemouth Beach in December.

Thanks @Raider mick, I realised not the quarry was so big, 1,1/2 mile in length :scream: did not know where to put the drone tbh, should have done a 360 !
I might be back out that way next week, I’ll go & do it again properly :joy:

Great photos, a drive down from Bristol is now required, will see if I can get to Torr works as well.
Looking on Google Maps there is a Torr Works viewpoint, sounds like a starting place.

Spent a day out down the Salisbury area, where I met up with @Kirky Rich. Not the best day for weather, but tried to make the most of it.

Longford Castle, on the burst banks of the River Avon.

Next up, Pepperbox Hill, where there’s a small folly upon the top.

I spotted Rich’s Mavic 3 at one point …

Afterwards, we headed to Wilton House, just to the west of Salisbury. A very popular filming spot for period drama.

A couple of photos from the Mini 3 Pro at lunchtime today at Barbury Castle, whilst testing Sincoder’s latest FCC hack (which works very well).

Now a trip to the garden centre is not so mundane, take drone and stop at random points to see what is about.
First from Over Lane Almondsbury, both the Seven crossings.
Lower left beneath the M4 Price of Wales Bridge is “The Wave” a surfing simulator and training centre.
lower right beneath the older M48 Seven Bridge is the Ibstock Cattybrook works.

Durnford Quarry in passing, I need to go back and find a better take off site as limited from the road.

From the top of Failand, Long Ashton Golf Club in the foreground, the village of Long Ashton mid ground with Barrow Tanks reservoir in the distance.

I will need to check Barrow tanks as they would make a good subject but right on the boarder of Lulsgate Airport.

Was such a crisp night I decided to head out and try my first night flight. Rather pleased with the outcome (just need to change settings to make the pictures bigger!)
