Went out with the Drone Yesterday to Sprotbrough Lock just outside of Doncaster and I was just trying to see if I could get a decent shot of the weir, I have more photos but this is the one I managed to get from the drone. I also have some drone shots of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club

When I was out yesterday I decided to go and get some shots of Hillsborough from the drone. Due to Security I can’t do it close to the football ground, however I managed to get to about 300ft to get this photo and some other photos as well. I must admit that this photo does need some editing to add light to it as it does look a bit dark

I just edited the original photo to make it look a bit brighter and sharper and here’s the result

No restrictions around Hillsborough, match days will be different.

I know what you’re saying but I would rather be safe than sorry. I could have gone and asked them and then at least they would have known I was in the area but it’s easier to shoot from the park

The City of Cardiff, from drone hovering 400’ above the Garth Mountain to the northwest of it, taken yesterday avo. Bit hazy but nice diffused warm light! To the left of the frame is the ‘Tongwynlais Gap’, which is the route from the city to Pontypridd & Merthyr; the A470 dual carriageway can be seen running through it. In the centre, the Principality Stadiium is prominent, as is Penarth Head to the right of the frame. Beyond is the mouth of the Severn, and the North Somerset coast can be made out in the distant haze.

It was indeed burning quite merrily at the time, and I was one of the many that called it in. There were two separate small but smoky fires on the southern flank of the mountain, and the firemen were at them with beaters. They put one of them out while I was there; the other one had spread and intensified by the time I got the bus back from Pentyrch village at half 7.

Not guilty yeronnah, gave up smoking 25 years ago, it wasn’t me! The fires had started down by the road, and of course with the southeasterly wind spread uphill quite quickly bit did not progress much across the top beyond the pathway, which acted as a firebreak.

I only saw, and spoke to, two firemen, but assume there were others on the Mountain Road. I did wonder if it was started by people chucking ciggies out of cars.

Like how the sun comes through on it.

I went out flying yesterday UAVAirdata said that it wasn’t good to fly during the day, however I didn’t personally think it was that windy. So I waited until yesterday evening to go flying as I wanted to get shots of the local football ground, in this case Rotherham United’s New York Stadium from above CF Booth and Centenary Way as it was all lit up.

Please can I have advice on whether you think this needs editing a little

@PingSpike @milkmanchris

Random Question, when taking drone photos that I copyright from myself. If I credit for example a football club, do I have to credit them “out of respect” or don’t I have to credit them? If I’m the one taking the original shots from my drone?

They’re your photos to do with as you please @DavidWood

All photos remain copyright of the photographer (usually)

However this is worth a read
