That first shot takes me back - i spent 3 years there as an undergrad. I can just make out Bowland tower in the background that used to be literally the centre of the campus but the site looks to have grown and grown since i left there in 1988!

Working in Washington this week (North East) so a few places to visit and fly.

Angel of the North is in this shot (honest) but as this was taken from hotel next to A1 overlooking Gateshead its a bit far away.
Hope to get closer tomorrow after work.
