The Daily Photo Thread

What I should have said was, it is a setting on the drone in tilting the camera/ gimbal to make the horizon level.
I would also carry out a full calibration of camera ,gimbal, etc on a level surface.

Adjusting the gimbal roll is one of the easier lessons

Hold in C2 on the bottom of the remote and rotate the right hand wheel in either direction :+1:t2:

Thanks all, going to make sure I re calibrate gimbal on the replacement if it arrives tomorrow as promised and go from there. I’ve downloaded the trail of lightbox so hopefully can get in the air and get some more shots.
I’m interested to know how people deal with the light/dark when taking the shots of half land half sky.

You can do bracketed exposure shots and merge in something like lightroom.

I tend to just shoot in RAW and use an adjustment brush to adjust sky exposure independantly.

If your looking for a photo editor I can highly recommend skylum Luminar.

I moved over from lightroom and it’s a lifetime license vs subscription for lightroom.

Depends on where you get your copy of lightroom from…:wink:

Any copies for mac going around?:zipper_mouth_face:

Excuse my ignorance, shooting RAW, I’m guessing that’s a setting on the app is it?

In camera settings there is an option to save images as RAW and jpeg.

The .DNG (raw) files give you a lot more scope for editing.

That’s my trouble.
I just take photo and don’t tend to play with it ( so to speak)
I should get my head around some of these editing software programs ,such as those mentioned above.
Jesus, I am still using Paintshop as a basic editor, I would not like to think how many years I have been using it!.
After @Callum s comment above, just looked at Luminar .
I had not realised how much difference it could make!.
Now I am retired, I need to “play” with some of these programs, it would make a total difference to my photos.
Same applies to my Videos, I tend to use Pinnacle, but, I am sure there must be a better Video Editing software out there, any good suggestions Guys?.

For Videos, when I do them, I use DaVinci Resolve. Very powerful and free to home users. There is also Shotcut which I’ve used but to say it is quirky is an understatement.

Both of these work on Mac or Windows.

Nice shots :+1::+1:

Didn’t even know you could adjust it like that, will do that in future, much easier than doing it through settings :+1:
