Nice couple of pics
When I went during the birthday challenge I was told written permission was required from the canal and river trust, they have the same policy as the national trust. Fair play to you getting the flight in. Obviously they haven’t briefed their staff since July.
Nice shots.
I honestly wasn’t aware of that, didn’t really check to see there rules on drones which i probably should have done thinking about it. Wasn’t really any staff there from canal and river trust so that’s why no one said anything about it. Will have a look at your photos, haven’t seen those yet.
It really was just a quick get in get out shot.
The Canal and River Trust drone policy is aimed at commercial filming. I believe @Mungmeister has had success just emailing them and they’ve confirmed it was ok to fly on their property.
I was just going off what the area manager said.
Yes due to most of there customers using Drones it has set a precedent, my permission was for Peak District canal, but I should Imagine it’s UK wide
Another good pic Bri
Oh Lord, really? I spend a fair bit of time in my kayak on local canals and rivers and although I pay the RT each year for a license to use the waterways, It hadnt struck me at all that aerial photography in these frequently quiet beauty spots were also metered in this way.
Another goldmine of aerial imagery to potentially rule out for the sake of faff.
All be it, the RT possibly sound less authoritarian than either the NT or EH.
Welcome. !!!
First post of many we hope
Cheers
