I think I know it but then I doubt myself. We won’t name colours in this thread (rule breaking)

Less facial hair than the great Bill Frindall

Another one bites the dust …

20. A single occupancy dwelling (house) with roof-mounted solar panels

  • Bonus point 6 or more separate panels visible on the roof.
  • Bonus point 3 adjacent homes each with 6 or more visible separate solar panels.
  • Bonus point 3 adjacent homes each with solar panels, one home with a red car in the driveway or on the road immediately adjacent to the property.

DJI Mini 3 pro, Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire 15/8/23

There’s more than 6 panels
There’s 3 houses in a row, all with panels
And there’s a red car (this time!)

I claim 4 points in all, please.

It’s a good clue, isn’t it?

Taken 15th Aug 23 at 10:46 using a dji mini pro, location was Ansty near Coventry

Would like to claim 1 point as the train in passing underneath the road bridge would also claim the 3 bonus points as the white and green lorry is within the confines of the bridge walls.

  1. This may be your Mission Impossible - a railway track passing under a road bridge
  • 3 bonus points if a train is passing underneath the road bridge (not approaching or leaving) and there is a full-size articulated lorry (tractor unit and 40-foot or longer trailer) completely on the bridge. - i.e.within the confines of the bridge walls.
  • Bonus point if the cab colour matches Christie’s ornamentation of the aged Quercus.

@GMP Greg just to be clear are you not claiming the cryptic colour bonus? It may be right or wrong but will be revealed at the end of the challenge. If youre hoping to get the bonus you need to claim it in your entry

Afternoon @Challenges_Committee, if the car is parked at the front of the house / houses with the solar panels & the car is red, but parked opposite on the other kerb, does this not count ?
Sorry for being thick

Opposite

Hi @Challenges_Committee , can I get a quick clarification, regarding task 12 ( mission impossible ), is it the colour of the lorry cab or train cab that has to match the cryptic clue ? Thanks in advance.

No first few attempts the trains had passed the bridge so had left the bridge, a few times there was no truck on the bridge. It took 2 batteries for the ideal shot lol

"No, no, NO! For the last time - I am a switchboard operator not a telehandler! And no, I am neither red nor yellow … "

We hope your day has had less petty annoyances than our call-girl above. And there is no hassle at all in checking the latest LEADERBOARD , just Click the Pic™ to be taken directly to it

The cryptic colour applies to the truck cab. Most rail locomotives have hi viz fronts and then the rest of the body is often a totally different colour.

And if the picture is taken from close up, the better to show the bridge and the truck the locomotive cab may not be in shot.

Truck cab it is.

Thanks for drawing the ambiguity to our attention
