Challenges Committee, re my previous post about bonus points for those holding b/day cards. I noticed you actually changed the wording of the challenge after I’d asked.
Saw this in a previous post by yourselves.
I shall of course be writing/ emailing/ phoning, my MP ( not that she’ll be much bothered) and will consider creating a protest group, like Just Stop Oil, but probably called Just Stop Changing The Rules.
We will of course be supergluing our Phantom 3’s to the M25 at the earliest opportunity and raising this issue with the Supreme Court ( or perhaps I’ll just moan about it down the local tomorrow)
I do hope you reconsider this heinous misjustice as the 100 homemade b/day cards cannot be cancelled or returned ( but fear not, I shall hold on to them for ten years and write a 1 in front of the 6 and use them for the 16th b/day celebrations )
The loophole to escape such loopholes…
Blast, foiled again.
I did speak to my MP, Margaret Becket, but she told me that as she is standing down, she’s preparing for a nice cushy job somewhere in Westminster and to contact her next year when she’ll be Dame Margaret Becket.

Sadly no trucks on the bridge
Thanks Martin, sadly no bonus points for this one
Brilliant day, very nostalgic with the smell of the coal and listening to the train enthusiasts, and the bonus was that that part of the grass is not on the Bluebell property and it is a public footpath accessed by an old fashioned stile, so absolutely no issues with TOAL
“So then he said “Where the hell is tonight’s photo and caption?” and I said “For what you are paying us you can do the bloody thing yourself, we’re all off down the pub!””

Borough Hill, Daventry Hillfort.
Overlooking the land beyond on all sides, Borough Hill made for an excellent area to defend and settle. Finds of stone tools have provided evidence of human activity from the early Stone Age through to the Neolithic (4000 – 2500 BC).
Worked flint artefacts and bronze metalwork have also shown that activity was taking place on the hill in the Bronze Age (2500 – 800 BC). It is unknown if anyone was living on the hilltop during the Bronze Age, but it certainly held some significance for local populations. Two Bronze Age round barrows (circular burial mounds) were situated to the north and south of the hillfort, and in 1823, two burials were excavated.
It was not until the Iron Age (800 BC – AD 43) that the hilltop began to be developed on a more monumental scale. In at least two separate phases of fortifications, the hilltop was enclosed with the construction of concentric ditches and banks around the edge of the high ground. The earliest form of fortifications likely encompassed the entire crown of the hill, an area of some 54 hectares, making it one of the largest hillforts in the United Kingdom. The famous hillfort of Maiden Castle in Dorset, by comparison, is under 50 hectares in area

Jason, we can only award two points. Admittedly the site contains Bronze Age barrows but these are burial mounds, not defensive works such as hillforts. The forts are dated to a later date, Iron Age, which in Northern and Western Europe is considered to begin around 500 BC.
From Historic England:
Both hillforts are believed to have been constructed in the Iron Age. The monument includes the remains of the two hillforts together with the archaeological remains of both earlier and later date which lie within them, including two Bronze Age barrows, a Roman building complex and barrow cemetery.
Mere occupation of an area and the finding of artefacts only shows that people were present in the landscape. No earthworks or defensive walls dating to the Bronze Age have been found on the site hence our disallowing your claim, based on the evidence presented.
