I took a similar photo a couple of years ago, but it was a ‘shit that’s coming’ shot. Had to do a little editing job to erase the other job, if you get my meaning!

I’ll have a search, you’ve made me want to try some macro stuff, these Bees are amazing :star_struck:

Just get some extension tubes and use with your lenses. Nice and cheap. :+1:

Ah okay, perfect I’ll have a look now. :+1:t4:

A proper macro lens is better, but a lot more money.

The main optical difference is that, by using extension tubes you are taking the lens beyond its designed use, and so light won’t be hitting the elements at their optimum angle limits.

But, to get a feel for macro outs much cheaper and results can still be good and very rewarding.

The longer the lens you use on them, the closer to the lens design you’ll be using them.

Just ordered these just to try, good reviews and 4/5 stars and they’re coming tomorrow all for the price of 40 pands.

For the same extension, you get greater magnification with a shorter lens, though.

I’ve got the Viltrox 2x extender which works brilliantly
So hopefully these will be just as good… took this from a decent distance away

Cool. All they do is enable you to focus closer,

With the manual focus ring on your lens, as you focus closer some/all of the elements move away from the camera. Depending on the construction of the lens, you’ll probably see the front element move. Rings just take it further.
