Just seen this mate. Sorry to hear that you have crashed again.
Off to dji for a repair or did some new props fix it?
Iāve also noted that you seem to be using the motion controller when these accidents happen.
Maybe a switch to the fpv controller is needed?
Nah the avata just doesnāt like sharp turns. I used the FPV controller over 3 batteries and it switched back to normal a couple of times (from manual) on sharp turns. I was high though and it recovered fine. Tbf it was very windy too that day
Itās just designed for my flying style hah. Though youād expect it to be fine with the motion controllerā¦
Yeah I was thinking the wind got it and flipped it over and that killed the motors, well on the first one
But the second I havenāt a clue what happened, need to have a proper look at the Airdata
Done that a few times in the DJI fpv and itās not something Iāve enjoyed.
Good to know and to watch out for
The Inspire 1 doesnāt either.
The Inspire was forever dropping in to ATTI mode if you hung it left or right a bit too quickly, seems like DJI never got past this issue
Well Iāve finally got round to re building the Nazgul5 after this crash lolā¦
Itās no longer a Nazgul5 lol
Meet the TBS Source One V5 with the guts of the Nazgul5 inside lol
Not quite sub250!
The way people talk about sub250 I guess Iām going to be arrested for flying such a heavy quad
Looks like I can ālandā better without video. (DJI turning on near by!)
I live hundreds of miles away Not guilty your honour
Yeah⦠But whereās you Avata? Iāve seen that fly to the moon!
Waiting for a proper test flight
Thatās a great crash
Probably already been seen but gave me a laugh so thought it worth posting for those who have not seen it. Mainly FPV but video drones too.
What happened there ??
Hi @ClippoMP4, it looks as though youāre quite new here
Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself.
The frame has folding arms (long before DJI came up with the idea) that lock with plastic latches. I think that when I unfolded the frame the latch didnāt engage on the right rear arm and it folded back on itself, resulting in the prop striking the frame. The fix just involved replacing a motor and the plastic clip.
Today we say goodbye to my heewing T1 ranger. All pilot error (though some minor mitigating circumstances)⦠Video to follow. Rest in peace (or pieces) my friendā¦
Did me well, especially considering was free be
Gaffer tape not an option @GunjaFPV ?
If it was, heād do it
