The never ending "I crashed my drone thread" šŸ”„

15 quid. Jeez.

Another reason I’ll not bother with the DJI FPV

I’m happy paying 2/3 quid a set, for props :ok_hand:t2:

I’m impressed how well it held up after the knock! I’ve put mine in the dirt once, and a tree once and still not lost a prop. They’re tougher than they look. I must admit I’ve gotten quite addicted to the flight time it’s a really relaxing way to cruise around when the sun is out.

Flying ( too ) low over water does not end well

It seems that when you strap a foam-encased GoPro to the belly of a Spry drone, it likes to float upside down :frowning:

Not a crash, but I got lucky and managed to plough through the branches. I had to. There was a ditch below

That was a close one Karl :grimacing: lol Did the props survive?

Yeah. There’s a few nicks, but nothing bent. Just happy it didn’t land in the ditch!
Props out for the win!

Yeah haha looks like there was a decent amount of water in there too lol

I’m guessing that if this happens it’s a case of strip it back to the frame and replace everything?

It would be ok if you take the lipo off as quick as. Then just dry it out. I’ve dunked a 10" with a lipo on in my garden pond. Dried it out and it was fine.

You can wash your quad under a tap and dry it off and it should be fine. But do at your own risk  But sea water will kill it

Wow thats a surprise, I assumed it would be a case of instant bang with a puff of smoke lol

Did you see the bits of the twigs fly off?

Fantabulastic flying Karl what a save.

I presume it was a 50p-20p moment in the trouser department…?

Yeah. The gap is a little bit bigger now

Which bit of speatuk’s comment were you replying to ?

Always check your goggle battery folks, having spares in tour bag just doesn’t cut it… [having low battery warning turned on would have helped too]

Caddx coax torn at plug, antenna gone, one arm snapped, one motor gone, tpu mounts gone, immortal T torn, and the whole thing took a swim

Ouchie! Looks like a nasty crash  Hope you can get her repaired and back in the sky :crossed_fingers:t2:

Thanks mate

Switching frame, couldn’t find arms to be delivered quickly, and needed a coax too, but I have everything else and frame+coax come tomorrow so I expect to have her airborne in a day or so. Expensive lesson learned.

I don’t have a video but a nice picture after a signal loss on the Nazgul 5.

Luckily the only damage was a broken prop.

You know what they say…!

You have to crash to find the limits.

Glad it was only a damaged prop.
