My sonās Nazgul experiencing a drone/beam interface event 
First bit is GoPro video, followed by the goggles recording which shows a glitch on the approach - he reckons the display froze for a second while the recording shows an incredible jump in speed - probably something to do with the way the goggles handle the incoming video feed.
Drone was undamaged and luckily landed upright so he was able to take off again.

I wonder how the DJI FPV drone would have coped with that level of impact

I think the hot glue gun would have to come out. Along with some 3D printed strengtheners for the destroyed arms.
You know how it goes.
A bit there and oh a bit more there. A bit here and then the wet finger to press it in and smooth it out. Oh I missed that bit.
Ow the bloody glue has stuck to my fingers and itās pigging hot crap crap crap.
Then we peel it off like we all used to do with the pva glue as kids at school.
Then pop all the blisters
Then take it for and fly and realise you accidentally glued the gimbal protector on and it wonāt come off
āOh the old FPV has had its day, itās flying days are miles away. The motors have a wheezy cough and all the screws are rounded off. The arms and gimbal are all covered in glue, coz pissneck Steve didnāt know what to do.ā
You just know this would be the outcome.
Well that prop didnāt last long - 26s 
My fault - lost my orientation during a flip and flew into the ground
Only noticed as I was replacing the prop
Bottom frame spare part is availableā¦for Ā£19.90ā¦when a complete airframe is only Ā£24.51 from another supplier ( both in UK )

Is that a whole frame replacement or just a new arm?
Ah I see you edited to say its the whole bottom plate. Ā£24 for a new frame sounds better then you have more spares

Learned a valuable lesson whilst flying with @speatuk this weekend.
DJI FPV and my Nazgul 5 donāt like each other.
Flying around our regular flying field and I lost all video out when the dji was powered up.
Luckily I tried to slow the drone down and steer it into a field whilst totally unable to see anything - massive brown trouser moment but luckily no damage occurred!
