There’s nothing else for it…we’re going to have to get the McWhirter twins in to invigilate every attempt. 
Moved all this discussion over to here. When a conclusion is reached on how to handle these speed record attempts, a new thread for logging them and running a leader-board can be created.

and it’s been proven we can’t …re, the Windmill photo competition entry that was deliberateley submitted knowing it was taken outside the competition time window.
This is a social media forum, other than a handfull of people we personal meet/have meaningful dialogue with, I doubt anybody can vouch for the integrity of all.
I think most of us have spidey-sense that tingles when something doesn’t feel right. Besides, judge’s decision is final 
I am happy to keep the charts (modified or unmodified for FPV style drones) even though I think I’ll never have a chance to make an appearance in them.
I missed the windmill hoo-hah; will go look for it!
We are supposed to be a fun friendly supportive community, and I hope nothing changes that.

I’m sure we still are, I try to be with what I do.
But as with everything in life some people just have to push the ‘competitive edge’ just a bit too far

Just out of curiosity has anyone tried uploading a blackbox log to airdata manually? Would airdata recognise the format?

Almost everything gets hacked in this world if the desire is there to do it.
Unsupported format.

I read somewhere that Ardupilot logs were supported so wondered if Betaflight would be too

There must be a way of doing blackbox overlay onto video footage. Ill have a goggle later and see what I can find

@Steviegeek is Ardupilot firmware supported on Betaflight fc? If it is we could flash Ardupilot to our quads for speed runs?
Some controllers will Arducopter (CHIBIOS OS) not all.
Again yes but configuration has a learning curve but it does have autotune which works well.
Not a five minute job and then change back to BF really.

Certainly Steve, and if you want a quad for non-racing / cruising / high speed runs then maybe consider Arducopter instead of BF anyway

Can’t you dji fpv guys ask dji to simply update the fw to record the osd? I know if us hdzero guys ask for something, we get it
