Time-Lapse videos

This one is a serious disappointment - not least because of the cost of a 120 mile round trip and 1 hour walk to get there, and being knackered for the next 24 hours - AND - it was a fluke clear sky night (been so few recently) … after the moon had set … and between the end of astro-twilight ending and reappearing. All the metaphorical stars were perfectly aligned.

Test pics were fine - but all of the 287 images the camera took once finally set up all had a serious green cast that proved a major pain to get this good … and no additional effort could improve upon. (Having looked at one image, a pro astro photographer I know was surprised I ever got it this good.)

Taken last Tuesday evening from St.Aldhelm’s Head in Dorset, with the silhouette of St.Aldhelm’s Chapel in the foreground.

Now I need another suitably clear, moonless, night (in the nearest dark sky area to me, about 25 miles away) to go and take some pics to see if the problem repeats itself. Will take my older camera for some comparison pics, accepting that it will be noisier and very 13 year old performing.
