Aux 12 seems to be generating a signal (on BF) but I can’t see where it’s coming from (in the controller)
Ah ha! Only one motor is working…interesting
Ok that’s fixed. esc changed to a shot 150
Check if Aux 12 is set to RSSI on TX. Could be that.
You should be able to run dshot 600 which is needed of you wish to use turtle mode.
Once your done with betaflight do a hover test, just arm it then check the pitch and roll is ok by gently moving the stick a tiny amount left right up down. Then raise the throttle slowly until it’s off the ground a foot or two.
Once that all checks out you can land it and take it outside. I’d suggest learning to fly line of sight first if you have had some practice in a sim go for some fpv but remember full throttle will launch you several hundred feet in a matter of seconds.
I clocked my 3" gecko at over 90mph and that has smaller motors than yours.
Yes that works! Thanks…not sure what’s turtle mode tho…
Yikes
Let’s you flip the quad over if you land or crash up side down.
Does it by reversing the motor direction, not something you want to do if you end up in grass though.
Ok yes, I’ve seen that. That’s what it’s called then. Ok I think I’ve got to adjust the stick range, because even at lowest throttle, it still registers a value and spins quite fast. I know there’s a process to calibrate that so that’s my next job. Feels like I’m just putting off the moment that I attach the props! Another question, how’d you activate video recording onto on board SD card? Not spotted that one yet…
Not 100% sure on the caddx camera but for my split mini 2 the was an option in the camera menu to enable automatic recording when it’s powered up.
Ok and you get into the camera menu by connecting that little 5 way stick on a PC board that came with the quad? Not got that out yet!
Yeah only have to use it the one time, turn the cameras on screen display off and enable the auto recording. That way when ever you plug in the battery it will start recording. Otherwise you’ll end up flying a pack getting some awesome moves and you forgot to record!
Back on the case, now controller showing as working on BF but quad bleeping and complaining when I arm it from the controller…(motors work done in BF…) ideas? What have I done…worked ok yesterday?
Do you have Air mode enabled?
This spins the props up as soon as you arm the quad on low throttle.
You might also notice the RPM increase on it’s own without props.
Something to try…!
Where’s that enabled from? Controller or BF?
I’ve had something similar and it was max arm tilt set ridiculous low.
Betaflight shows any flags which stop your quad from arming. You just need the table of codes to translate.
If you’ve got buzzer it might even pulse it.
Air mode is selected on betaflight. Cant remember which tab.
Ok quad makes a very nice tuneful noise when trying to arm, which if I some quad I’m sure I’d understand. It’s kind of like it thinks the USB still attached or something?
Is it a sequence of pulses?
Betaflight arming sequence and flags.
If your not getting the flag from the buzzer, reconnect to betaflight and it will show “disarm flags” in info. 1 will be for USB connected and other will be the one that’s stopping it without USB.
