Not sure if these are allowed here on a ‘twitching’ thread as they were captive birds, but no doubt someone will tell me.

Golden Eagle

Peregrin Falcon

Long Eared Owl (??)

Bald Eagle

personally i think they belong… twitching is about birds… but its not my website or thread.

From a photography view its always soooo much better when your subject is not disappearing into the distance or not trying to eat you, and the end result is better as a photo

But… nothing beats the pleasure of thrill of the chase in twitching… for me that what its about.

love the pics… really high clarity and definition…

A couple of shots taken at Pensthorpe Natural Park today. My first proper go at “twitching” and was only equipped with a 35mm and 18-55mm lenses, but really enjoyed the challenge.

Had a brilliant afternoon at Ben Long Falconry (nr. Gloucester) yesterday, where we got to handle and fly many different birds. Here are a couple of the images.

Appreciate that Charlie, although nobody seems to be adding to them. I have a few more to add but not sure if there is the interest.

i have a few bird pics I would like to share if aloud, they were taken a few years ago and are mainly of swans and baby swans

Go for it @Aldric - There have been some great images on here, so I will get things started again.

Female Kestrel (from the Falconry Centre visit)

A couple of Red Kites (taken while standing in my back garden - we have a dozen or so around the village)
