I have a laptop on win 7 pro that wont see my new virgin hub 5.
I’m currently in the router page on my desktop. What can I do? It worked with the last Virgin router.
Is there a 2g and 5g ssids? Wondering if your laptop old and can’t do 5g and maybe the security system thing?
They merge em. So create a separate SSID for 2g and try it
Point A) I have no idea how to do that
Point B) Betaflight configurator requires win 8 or higher and the win 10 upgrade has ended.

Put it in modem mode as it’s a pile of shit and buy a decent router

I used to buy my own routers but they’re pretty decent these days. Bored of creating my own subnets and blah blah. Think my Vodafone one even does dyndns now for a few open ports I need. Past tinkering with gone network setups. Though I do change to my own SSID and password. 1 security and 2 if switch networks (as I do every 18/24 months) change that one to the same so don’t have to setup 100 devices again

I always liked coding from a young age with my commodore 16. But could never work out poke and peek commands:man_shrugging:
I can do excel macros etc.
But I really struggle with networks. I think I’m doing it right, and it just does something else.
I disabled 5g. That’s when the whole thing just hung on loading. All it was was a tick box and apply changes. Tell me. How is that logical?
Because the device you used to make that change was connected to the modem using the 5.4ghz that you just disabled? 
But shouldn’t it auto search onto 2.4? My desktop and two phones couldn’t connect. I tried searching. Only an ethernet cable worked.
Unless it doesn’t support dual band, I would have thought so mate

All I want to do is install betaflight on a win 7 laptop. Computer says no!
But I have it installed on my pc. I’ve copied the installed directory to the laptop and it works

Yeah stand alone version probably fine. Now if someone can get it running in a pi4 ubuntuI’d be over the moon!
