Absolutely right, Chris, brain fade on my part (seems to be happening a lot lately), the 100m was the default height return! Numpty! ![]()
Well, straight after the New Year, when C markings come in, I reckon I’ll get the Air3 S. If what I’ve read and seen on the internet, it’s going to be C1 rated, meaning zero separation from people but with no intentional overflight.
VLOS will be less of an issue with a larger drone. I reckon I could see an Air3 S from a lot further away than my Mini 3 Pro. ![]()

Me too, way before then, though. ![]()
Colin the reason I’ll wait is for the C1 marking. The way the CAA are on about implementing it, the Air 3S will fall in the C1 section meaning you can fly with zero separation from people, but with no intentional overflight ( which begs the question, what about unintentional overflight ) ![]()

If you buy an Air 3S today you’ll see it has an EASA C1 marking on it already. So the only question is whether we completely align with EASA in January, which is certainly looking like the intention. And it is an awesome drone ![]()
I’m not sure the CAA will adopt the complete EASA class marking system, but I doubt it will vary by much, as it would require some thought! ![]()
