Hi all,
I’m a new Mini 2 SE owner, and after flying for about a month now, already looking at upgrading to the Mini 3 / Pro.
Just love flying it, it’s such a pleasure to fly and see the world around me from a completely different perspective.

Have you seen our members map? (Click the burger-menu in the top right) You may find some pilots living near you. Feel free to add yourself to the members map too 
We’re a well established club with many knowledgeable members so it’s very likely that any issues you come across will have been discussed here before. Our discussion forum has very powerful search features which should help you find what you need but if you get stuck you can post a new question in the Questions & Answers category.

I also have a Mini 2, and love flying it. I’d love to get a Mini3 pro with the screen based controller, but finances (and my better half) will not currently allow that!

Yeah my “better” half although at the moment she’s dropped in my estimates, because she won’t let me get the pro yet… But I’ve always found it easier to ask for forgiveness than permission 
But thank you, so far i’ve loved every minute of it.

So far I have been. of course been making sure where I fly isn’t in any restricted area’s and made sure to not be a nuisance to other people.
Both myself and a friend of mine who has also recently started the hobby have been to a few local places Mainly around Cov / Nuneaton / Hartshill at the minute, but always looking for new and fascinating areas to fly.
Absolutely love the footage of FPV shots I’ve seen especially with the amount of control people have with them

is your best friend for that it’s this forums sister site and is developed in house by the forum so they are always listening to what pilots needs are and incorporating that into the development.
Invite them to join as well, its such a great community here and extremely welcoming to new members.
If you need an answer just search it here and I’d pretty much guarantee it’s been asked before. if not create a new topic in the questions and answers category and you’ll pretty much get a response within the hour most of the time

My advice, stick with the Mini 2. It’s built better and does almost as much just as well in my opinion. I have both the Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro (although not with the screened controller). The only thing I really find it does better is capture lower light conditions a little better, there’s less noise in the image. Yeah there’s a few other minor advantages but you barely end up noticing them in use, at least not for what I use it for. I suppose at a push you could say the active track is a nice feature but it depends on how often you’d use it.
I’m selling one of my drones soon when I get around to it, what do I need two drones for? Honestly I’m in two minds as to which one to let go. To my mind, It’s a big jump in price for not very much progression in capability. It handles wind conditions just as well, if not slightly better too. Range is almost the same on each drone so not a world of difference there either. Have a think before you pull the trigger that’s all.

I appreciate the advise, I couldn’t get the Mini 2 so settled on the Mini 2 SE, my thoughts on the upgrade is for the camera, so don’t necessarily need the pro, but would like the controller with the screen so contemplating getting the Mini 3 with the RC controller (Definitely can’t justify the Mini 3 Pro)
I wasn’t lecturing you at all buddy. I just don’t think the Mini 3 Pro is all that much of an upgrade from the Mini 2. As with most new products there was a lot of hype about it.
The controller for me isn’t an issue. My phone has a 6.75" screen which works fine and is plenty bright enough even in direct sunlight. I’d feel like I was paying for another screen when I already have one that works … but then again I’m sometimes a bit of a tad-wad when it comes to spending money on non-essentials. Nor do I fly my drones a great deal at the moment. Glad to hear you’re enjoying using yours. Let’s hope we get some moody weather so you can get some cool shots.

No, no, you’re correct I just cannot type it seems. Thank you for pointing it out so publicly. I’d hate if my inability to control my own fingers in my mid forties were to ever be overlooked by EVERYONE.
