West Yorkshire Noob

Hi all!

I just bought my first drone, a DJI Mini 3 Pro and am looking forward to exploring the skies over Calderdale, a beautiful part of the world. As this is Yorkshire and invariably wet, I suspect my flights may be short in duration and arranged at short notice. I’m looking forward to meeting you all!

Hi I will be going down to hebden bridge next week, to get my car fixed. Driving 4 hours to get there, i was thinking of doing some filming there. Hope weather is good. Hebden bridge is lovely, Never fly there yet. I think the hill over hebden bridge from keighley would look amazing, Sorry dont know what the hill is called, lol, Sure you will love flying over that way. If you ever film where the last of the summer wine was that would be amazing to see. I know its not near calderdale

Hi! That should be fun - it’s a great area to visit; really quirky! If you’re going to be there for a while and don’t mind a walk, you could visit Heptonstall which is a small village just outside of Hebden. It’s a steep hill climb but there’s a pub and cafe up 'top. If it’s a nice day, I’d suggest going to Lumb Bank which has some spectacular views and looks to be good to fly. Here’s a pano pic taken with my phone.

Welcome to Grey Arrows, hope you enjoy the forum as much as you will enjoy your MINI3

Welcome from another Yorkshire lad, enjoy the group :+1:
The wife is going love your profile pic

Cracking

LOL … I’m not even close to “Peak Wallace” yet (so I’m told) but this is the real version  Rex is as expensive to run as a drone but has the advantage of being able to go out in rain and snow…

@CalderDrone proper old school dog name too.

Mine (cocker spaniel) is Tux, I’m a fan of single syllable dog names
