Hope it was worth while for those of you who went to view. Apparently houses shaking and explosions heard as far away as Newton-le-Willows, Manchester and North Wales if various social media comments are to be believed. I was just over a mile away at home and heard and felt nowt. Grapevine says the other four are due to come down late January/early February
hopefully weather better and warmer (too cold for me!)
It was rather cold particularly on the feet but plenty of brave souls ventured out to see a grey and misty skyline
@Banjonic that is just TOO organised… I would have been there with thin socks, soggy trainers and desperate for the loo
You never mentioned this beforehand
Get well soon hon x
Hope you feel better soon
Nicola you are a life saver, the organisation was above and beyond, and hot dogs for breakfast was very much welcomed, thank you soo much!
Thanks also for the amazing Albion Drones air freshener for my car, it smells amazing, you definitely need to be selling these…
Sadly the towers coming down was heard, but not seen, far too much fog and too much chance of icing to risk the drones…
After hearing the explosions and seeing nowt we headed off to Beacon Park for breakfast and a possible quick fl;y, but too icy and foggy, so sense prevailed and we came home - better to live to fly again than to push it and lose a drone…
Thanks all who made the effort today. although no flying it was still good to see everyone and have a bit of a laugh with those we consider friends, well done to those who saw something or captured it… Lets hope the next opportunity has somewhat better weather…
I will post a thread for an Xmas meet up, probabl will be shortish notcie as we will need to react to weather conditions, thinkinbg perhaps a wandetr around Manchester - Xmas day or NY Day may be good as it should be relatively quiet - and another flight somewhere else - beacon park? to fly FPV / AVATA perhaps wih some x,mas themed obstacles, if Eric and Lee can create them in time?
A xmas meeting would be nice if the weather allows.
Well done, looking after the troops, erm never noticed this at hull
Well done again very thoughful Nicola @Banjonic
You’re certainly well prepared. Probably could have opened up a stall and made a few quid. Lovely to see everyone again. Pity that we couldn’t fly but it was great to chat. Apologies for rushing off but I thought that it would be too cold to fly anywhere else and wasn’t the best time to introduce Helen to our hobby.
No wories, was good to see you and meet Helen, and thanks for coming - lets hopoe we can introduce her to drones when the weather is a little more clement
Thread started - NW Xmas meet up - may be short notice depending on weather
well done in the bad weather to get the money shot
Brilliant, very well done in extremely challenging conditions, hats off to you sir!
Thanks for the Lemsip and Nurofen I am feeling ok for now, and I was going to bring your presents
Hope you like orange it’s the only colour in Petg I had
