Woodhenge - Added to English Heritage in South West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

This is an English Heritage site so their rules and regs apply for TAOL within the site boundaries. There is plenty of scope to park and fly from public land here though as there is a road that passes directly alongside it with a picnic area on the other side.
I would recommend to definitely be wary though as you are right on the edge of Boscombe Down airspace with Netherhaven also just to the north. Keep your eyes wide open, as being a military flying area there are often aircraft low flying especially helicopters.

Woodhenge is a Neolithic Class II henge and timber circle monument within the Stonehenge World Heritage Site in Wiltshire, England. It is 2 miles (3.2 km) north-east of Stonehenge, in Durrington parish, just north of the town of Amesbury.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 11/09/2023. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
This is inside a DJI restriction zone so you will need to get approval via the app before flight. Mobile signal is good there though and I was able to obtain this on site via mobile hotspot with no issue.

I want to fly here @MasterYeti, but there are no parking or take off and landing markers. Would you be able to add some to the map please?

Do you need to contact Salisbury Plain Training Area Operations and/or Boscombe Down to fly in this area. I live about 2 miles from here in Durrington and am unsure how to understand the FRZ etc on the Drone maps.

@Fozzybear My bad, marker added. The parking is literally right beside it and you are officially outside the NFZ. I would recommend a courtesy call to Boscombe Down though just to let them know and seriously keep your eyes peeled. I nearly got caught out by a very low flying Apache helicopter
