Ok cool, thanks for the fast reply!

Waste of time as no places to use personal drones!!! We are all doomed! There’s a lot of companies and mostly authorities against personal drones! Sad but true. No point having one or making them at all now as rules change it’s not possible to use them in any shape or form. Oh well throw them away in the bin :frowning:

Depends on how much you want to fly - where there’s a will there’s a way :man_shrugging:

There is no regulatory requirement for a practical flight test in the A2CoC. You only have to declare that you have done the training and are at the required level of competence, basically, YES I can do it, tick!
The GVC is a different matter, there is a practical test in front of the examiner to show that you can perform various standard movements, squares, circles, figure of eights etc.

Update, I passed my A2CoC today with Infratec drones, I would highly recommend them :ok_hand: I paid £59.99 for the course and exam and if u read it correctly you get a free retest if you fail.

The course is all online reading material with an exam at the end of each module to ensure you have understood the module. There is then a 10 question mock exam at the end. You are able to go back through the materials and exams as many times as you like.

Now to have a my card printed :ok_hand::+1:

If you only want to hobby fly only then get article 16 join a flying club. 15m take off from uninvolved people. 30m bubble so you can fly over people. Hobby Insurances comes with it all for £19.99 a year. Beats the A2 cofc in price and distances.

I am looking to dip my toe into a bit of commercial work so I thought the A2 would be a good foundation to start that.

The A2 isn’t needed for commercial work.
