Already got Public Liability Insurance from elsewhere? Get up to 12 months FREE cover by becoming an Insured Member of Grey Arrows Drone Club!

When we introduced our new Insured Member tier earlier in the year, offering £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance cover, some of you were disappointed that you already had insurance from another provider and didn’t want to lose money by cancelling your old/existing policy.

To help ease your transition to Grey Arrows Insured Membership, we have an offer which may be of interest to you.

If you cancel your existing insurance renewal with your current provider and become an Insured Member of Grey Arrows Drone Club, we will provide you with an equivalent number of months of coverage, absolutely FREE!

Unsure how this works?

Let us clarify with an example:

Currently insured with another Public Liability Insurance provider, but have seven months remaining on your current policy?

Simply sign up to a new 12-month Insured Membership with Grey Arrows Drone Club, cancel the renewal with your existing provider and provide us with proof of your cancellation. We will then extend your Grey Arrows Drone Club Insured Membership by another seven months, completely free of charge, meaning you can enjoy 19 months of full cover for the cost of only 12 months!

Another example scenario might be:

You only have 3 months left with your current PLI provider.

Sign up for a new 12-month Insured Membership with Grey Arrows Drone Club today, cancel the renewal with your existing provider, provide us with proof of your cancellation, and we will extend your Grey Arrows Insured Membership by those 3 months, giving you 15 months of PLI for the price of 12.

Even if you only recently obtained insurance with another provider, there’s still an offer available to you!

Simply sign up for a 12-month Insured Membership with Grey Arrows Drone Club, cancel the renewal with your existing provider, provide us with proof of your cancellation, and we will extend your membership by the time remaining with your previous provider, thereby providing you with up to 24 months of cover for the price of only 12 months!

A couple of members have asked about Grey Arrows operational authorisation recently.

Our current position is largely unchanged since this update last month:

We are still discussing the possibility of pursuing this and we will announce any details in the relevant threads.

Done, sounds like a great deal to me.

My membership of the Heli Club is conditional on BMFA membership/insurance (it’s an affiliated club) so as much as I’d like to support GA I’ll be staying with BMFA insurance.

As @DeanoG60 says :point_up_2: no point in insurancing twice :man_shrugging:

I’d love to support the club, but the insurance only covers UK liability and I need cover for overseas as well. :face_exhaling:

@Steviegeek @D0c.Col thanks for your feedback and fully understood, our Insured Membership isn’t for everyone

Russ @Foley we’ve deleted your confusion posts from this thread

I’m exactly the same. About a third of my flying is in ROI which covered by my FPVUK insurance otherwise I’d jump at it.

I was looking to cancel and can not see where to…

As I understand it, you don’t have to cancel your existing cover, but you cancel the renewal.
GADC will then add the number of months that you are effectively paying for both insurances onto the first year of your GADC policy.

Mine is not set to auto renew. I was told that because I paid by an invoice or something it would not renew.

I suggest you use the link from the first post, to send GADC an email?

Hi

Does your Public Liability Insurance cover commercial use of the drone?

Thanks.

Richard Faulkner

Please read all the terms of the insurance, as linked to in the OP, where this is addressed.

Hi
I recently received your email about the up to 12 month free insurance offer. Can you let me know if the offer is still valid?
What kind of proof do you need if I cancelled my current insurance?
Thanks
Allen

Hello Allen @ukbluesky

The offer is a permanent one, so it’s still valid.

As per the above post, please contact us via email for more information.
