Bambu Lab 3D Printers

Ordered one of them for my daughters A1 Mini

After another hour or so looking at reviews went for it. £162 isnt bad for a printer from a good brand. But I do have to wait until end of January for it but that gives me time to make room.

ETHOS TX / RX setup jig, far easier getting it all ready on the bench before hiding it in something…

Still having an awful lot of fun with the P1S. Have just finished the first of my own designs (still using Openscad as I have done for years), but this is the first design I’ve done since getting this printer. Just a little push button box with a nice compliant spring mechanism - that I remixed from another project.

Am still loving these too…

My daughter’s A1 Mini hasn’t stopped since Christmas day, the amount of fidget toys in this house is madness  :joy:

I updated, resigned in and voila sorted

From some of the stuff I have read about this update, Bambu Labs were getting worried with the lack of security of some of these 3rd party firmwares and even Orca Slicer, who are currently working with BL to make a more secure patch.
Bambu Labs have their won Ecosystem just like Apple and DJI do, you buy into it when you first buy a 3D printer from them and sign in to it, if people don’t want reliability and great machines they can easily leave, no one is forcing them to use BL machines.
Apparently some of the 3rd party Firmware was causing BL’s servers issues, thus this major update

Completely agree.
BL machines are the DJI of printers.

To quote Joshua Bartwell in the matrix “I would be eating stake while Neo is fighting the good fight trying to get Walksnail to work”.

BL has beaten Open Source.
They will deliver top notch products and make lots of money.

Yes and shut out 10 mins later, they are doing this to cover themselves with the US regulators, open source is dead for BL

It’s ok sharing these videos, he agreed to the terms and conditions that Bambu Labs gives everyone before turning their printer on, if they don’t read those then it’s not Bambu Labs fault, it clearly states if you do not agree then do not use the 3D Printer!
The problem as I see it is users were using 3rd party firmware and when an issue arose they wanted support to help, but once Bambu Labs check their machines they realised they were using these 3rd party firmwares or apps, they have now released this new Beta firmware to stop these 3rd party apps and firmwares, which was always their plan from day one, sadly too many think they are above Bambu Labs terms and conditions.
Those that don’t like them can go back top older bed slingers like Ender’s etc and use open source, not rocket science

I dodged a bullet, thank god I didn’t purchase one

I am sharing the information for others to make their own decisions

Here is another worth watching

Again more rubbish, if these people had read the terms and conditions on day 1 they would know these were the conditions they were signing up to, you haven’t dodged a bullet at all, unless you run a print farm and use more than just Bambu Labs printers, they don’t like having to use more than one slicer, those who have just Bambu Labs aren’t complaining
