Sat here at the beach watching dog walkers. No wind. Sea is out. Wing in the boot of the car trying to plucknup the guts to have a try at getting this thing to fly.

that one looks terminal  New body for the airframe me thinks…

not sure I have just had a good look and the breaks look clean enough

Goggle video.

Great video
Until the last ten seconds
What happened?

I’m not sure, but I do know I didn’t have to look for it as the seagulls were circling the crash, did they hit the port wing I don’t know as I wasn’t doing a fast turn as I was bringing it back in. I wasn’t at stall speed.
Oh and the Hi Vis vinyl on the wings works, I could see the wreckage from 300m away.

Oh shame. That’s two wing losses in a week. That’s a horizon roll again Steve!

Stop flying horizon people lol. Remove it. Angle or acro/manual.

Yeah watched it again mate. Full thing. I assume you were auto tuning in the middle sections (good stuff), but you didn’t once roll or loop. So why use horizon? You can up the max angle of angle mode.

You did a sharp turn at the end at 30km/h and went over the horizon transition angle… It rolled and pitched forward a little, boom.

Ok for tuning I get horizon isn’t a bad move, but if you new and not confident guys, use angle add a few extra degrees to angle. Whatever the transition point is, if you panic or tight turn and not got used to where horizon rolls you…

I use angle for take off land and then acro/manual when up.

If you really high and want to roll a bit and not confident for acro, then yeah maybe horizon… For tuning again maybe, but an increased angle can help.

I just feel good advice whilst getting used to a new wing.

Anyways hate seeing a broken up plane, and hope you can glue or get a new air frame. Good luck. It’s all learning experience

Yep was doing auto tune, bugger will have to do that again, I honestly wasn’t doing a sharp turn as it went down as I was in shot so just a gentle one to line up and over it went

who’s was the other i missed that one?

Well all glued back together.

Just need to leave it 24hrs for the glue to fully cure.

Now to figure out how to download the blackbox logs.

You should be in acro for Autotune :man_shrugging:

well in that case i have miss understood the Pianless 360 videos on that.

another question

my GPS coordinates are wrong on latitude. they should read around 54.066 not 54.66 ? Any clue as to why this would be.

Pawel outranks Painless360 every time

No, never seen that before
Are you comparing data shown in OSD with your knowledge of where you were?
Strange :man_shrugging:

yes. the osd is wrong but I’ve just opened the blackbox file and that is right, (thank god because i did use RTH at one point.

I just put Pawel in my watch list just before you posted that.
