think we are beginning to miss the point here… there is a book or two on crap towns let’s just focus on filling in these sort of consultations as it’s the thin end of the wedge…
if you fail to take the time to post to the consultation don’t be surprised when your local council gets that very same bright idea and you are stopped from doing your no mess short term (till the batteries run out) hobby in your local park that has no impact except to local ken and Karen… as no one could be bothered to reply to your local council consultation

I have worked in Iraq, Afghanistan and a few other 3rd world countries, I now live in Blackpool and yes parts of Blackpool compare to a 3rd world countrybut then again so do parts of London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool. Southampton, in fact any large town or city in most countries across the world.
But that still has no relevance to the topic on this thread.

FFS, does it really matter… what exactly is the purpose of a park if you can’t use it for your enjoyment, I mean REALLY is napping in a park so bad? (hard enough trying to find a spot without dog poo in some parks to stretch out in… now there IS a problem)

Ha ha I wouldn’t have thought so, but they are still trying to put a PSPO on drone flying from council land, at least I now have another piece of paper in my armoury for when the inevitable Ken or Karen approches me. Although it never usually gets that far as a polite explanation that I am doing nothing wrong or dangerous usually does the job, if not a snarl and firm F off usually finishes the job.
Think the council have just confirmed that, no grounds that I can see.

I was just reading that document. Im pretty confident that if the Blackpool council impliment this, then if contested in court, they would lose.
BUT !! The document does state that the PSPO must be contested in the first 3 months of implementation. So i would speculate that anyone who is fined after that point would be guilty of breaking a PSPO regardless of the legality of said PSPO. Therefore, it needs to be contested in the first available opportunity.

Well, if they implement it, contest it. I’m sure if it needs to go to a court a gofundme from here will get some funds and you’dlike to think some YouTubers would invest some of their monetizing money towards it too. They’ll be chomping at the bit to do a 8 minute (sorry probably more like 98 for some ) on the topic.
