To ensure better DS posts going forwards, have there been any changes to the ‘Add Location’ form … such as making quality descriptions mandatory, duplicate pin checks, etc.?
Yes, confirmed.
Kinda. We recently added the Locations layer back in to the “Add Location” page. It was previously removed because people said it distracted their focus from adding a pin, but it did lead to a lot of duplicates being added. But it’s back now so you can see if there is already a location pin on the location you’re about to add

Just a suggestion, but may help to add a warning on the ‘Add Location’ form too.
For example, the below form does not inform the user not to add duplicate locations.
Perhaps some text at the top, “Please do not add duplicate locations”

You would hope common sense would kick in
But yes, that’s an easy addition.
I think Dave suggested the same thing not too long ago too so if multiple people are suggesting it, then it’s clearly required

When adding location like to a London location tower bridge what3words for location and also add for pilot location?
W3W populates automatically for all locations added.
We also ask that contributors add details of parking and TOAL point too

Not when they are chasing a pin seeker badge. 
I didn’t think there’s any more pin rewards for challenges.
There isn’t, but the pin seeker badges are still available for day to day finding of new locations.
But it would help if users didn’t post new locations 200m from an existing one. Otherwise we’ll be doing another clearout in the not too distant future, especially with the growth of the forum.
