Could someone 3D print something for me please?

:+1:

Hi @Silver1 photo of the 2 grey filament spools below, give me a shout when you get your diversity module as to which one would suit.

The dark Grey is ABS and the light grey is PLA.

Hi SeaHunter,

Thanks for the pics.

The module arrived, works great, sellotape is our friend.

Am I right in saying the ABS is the stiffer of the two materials?
I think it needs to be fairly rigid to clip in and hold the module securely.

If that’s a yes, the dark ABS please.

Hi Craig, @Silver1

PLA is actually stronger and stiffer than ABS. I am waiting on Dark Grey PLA coming back into stock (mid Sept) as I am out of that at the present.

Hi peeps, can anybody on here knock me up some balance weight holders for my X5 camera gimbal? The thingiverse address is Balancing kit for Zenmuse X5 camera and Panasonic Lumix 35-100mm Zoom Lens by whirlybloke - Thingiverse. If you can, tell me how much and how long it would take you, and we’ll go from there.

Thanks everybody

John

@Hotrodspike have moved your post over here to the general “can someone print this for me please?” thread.

Can anyone help @Hotrodspike with his request?

Hi @Hotrodspike.

If it’s one of each, then you’re looking at a little over over 4 hours print time (0.1mm layers) and around 14g of 1.75mm PLA filament to print the 4 items.

Yes mate, it’s just one of each, how much do you reckon?

Hi John,

14g PLA filament = a few pence.
4 hours print time = set it going and leave the printer to it.
Production cost = £0.00.

Just cost of postage to consider, but that will be minimal.

Any particular colour in mind?

That’s very kind of you mate, any colour you like or have got will do thanks. If you let me know where to send the postage to, I’ll send it.

I’ll run a set off in grey and let you know the result as not all thingiverse items print well.

Thanks mate, let me know how much I owe you. I’ve seen the results on you tube, they seem ok.

Hi @Hotrodspike ran a set off in yellow (already on printer) to see how they came out, look OK to me.

Now running off a set in light grey PLA. If they’re OK I’ll pop them in the post next week, DM me your address mate.

This might be a totally stupid question but can you print clear / transparent stuff on a 3D printer?

There are filaments advertised as clear available to buy, just how clear printed items would be I’m not sure. One factor would be the wall thickness.

Bump on this. Curious to know what a fair rate would be but also more than happy to pay for materials, time postage and chuck in a beer too…

With a 0.1mm print layer you are looking at about a 25 hour print time for both parts.
10 hours with a 0.2mm print layer and it would cost me just less than a fiver for filament.

hope this helps.

just in final design and print on this.
Its a dummy battery for MA2 with built in prop guard.

Just designed and made a belt battery holder for the Mini/Mini 2. Fits 2 batteries. I figured to hold 2 batteries as the Mini (2) will have the other one in it.

Sorry about the 2 colours the printer ran of filament half way through and the second filament is from a different brand.
